Who it’s for

  • Collectors and 360 history buffs
  • Ultra-cheap entry into 360
  • Bullet-time experiments

Strengths

  • Introduced FlowState stabilization and popularised the invisible selfie stick
  • Light and pocketable
  • Removable battery

Trade-offs

  • No touchscreen; you frame on your phone
  • Low-light footage is very noisy by modern standards
  • App support and firmware updates have ended

The ONE X is where consumer 360 grew up. Before it, 360 cameras were novelties. The ONE X added FlowState stabilization, a usable 5.7K resolution, and a phone app that made reframing easy enough for anyone. It also turned the “invisible selfie stick” into a social-media phenomenon.

Is it still usable?

For daylight clips and nostalgia, yes. Expect noisy low light, no on-camera framing, and an app experience that is frozen in time. As a cheap way to learn 360 techniques it still works, especially for bullet-time and stick tricks.
